X.Addendum to War:
Connecticut's five Democratic members of Congress on Thursday, March 14, voted with a large majority in favor of a $96 billion appropriations bill to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan through September 30, 2009. Exactly 51 anti-war Democrats voted against the bill. Just to reiterate, all of Connecticut's delegation - Larson, Murphy, Courtney, Rosa DeLauro, and Jim Himes - approved of paying for slaughter and death with your tax dollars.
The Senate passed a similar $91 billion appropriation funding war Thursday, May 21. The two will reconcile and send something worth more than $90 bn to Obama. Yet we are closing schools, furloughing government employees.
We who fail to protest this injustice have blood on our hands.
Add to war fatigue the end of law school exams. Ever wondered what its like to sit with a pen and blue books for three hours writing an exam? Fumble with this .pdf of a natural resources law exam. Two days after something like that, summer classes started, mixed in with a heavy travel schedule and my need to reflect on the gravity of words, blogging has taken a backseat.
But sight never stops. Here's a few thousand words in image.

At least there are no corporate logos on the littered dime bag in Hartford's Keney Park. 7:30 p.m. 5/14/09

Ahh. A beach. Near the Palmas de Lucia hotel in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Eye fish in a sea of word. 10 a.m. 5/2/9

The demolition of excess building capacity: the current landlords justified tearing down the old Mass Mutual complex in Hartford's Asylum Hill because of high carrying costs. On the bright side, what kind of green buildings can we build in its place? Plus, they kept the architecturally significant facade. 4:45 p.m. 05/14/09.

The Peace Park across the street from the White House demonstrates courage and commitment. 5:30 p.m., 5/17/09.
